A tag has been placed on Cornish National Liberation Army, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Hang on[edit]

While no one is sure whether such an organisation actually exists, it has been mentioned in the mainstream media in recent days. The statement should be removed, but some basic information on this organisation should be retained.

The CNLA has been mentioned in the following articles (selection):

Fire incident[edit]

An unregistered editor with their first edit has placed below the footnotes the following statement:

"This man answered his police bail on the 14th August 2007, and was released from bail with no charges brought against him due to a complete lack of evidence. He is currently taking legal advice in respect of action against the police and the Sun newspaper of London who incorrectly identified him as a terrorist."

Existence?[edit]

I notice another user has reverted claims that the existence of the CNLA is in fact a hoax. Also, I point out that website for the citation entitled "CNLA leader dines at fifteen - the acceptance of Jamie Oliver", http://www.fifteencornwallblog.co.uk/olis-update-complex-carbs-are-important-part-of-diet/ has nothing to do with "Stuart Ramsay".

In addition, I can't find anything connecting the name "Stuart Ramsay" with "CNLA" via Google searches, at least not websites that don't seem to be mirrors or forks of wikipedia itself. My supposition is, that if "Stuart Ramsay" is actually named in the relevant "Cornish World" interview, it is probably a pseudonym, and if so, what evidence is there to substantiate any claims made in that interview referring to the existence of a CNLA organisation?

The previous citation regarding "Stuart Ramsay" and Fifteen Cornwall has been removed from the main article, since it appears clear the title is spurious and misleading ^[1]

The actual content has nothing to do with any CNLA. ^[2]

There's also no real evidence to suggest it was some anti-Cornish campaign by the police, mind you, sounds like the Celtic league are just stirring up those ridicules "Cornish Opression" fringe theories. --Τασουλα (Shalom!) (talk) 13:57, 18 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
