frequency[edit]

the article says 200 "operations" per year, average 16/month. does 1 landing = 1 operation? so 1 plane EVERY OTHER DAY, roughly?!

we went out there with a seattle flight school. a dozen planes or so, doing a dozen touch and gos apiece, with maybe 2-3 full stops. so maybe 20-30 full stops total; 120-150 when you add in all the T&Gs. does this mean we accounted for like 1/4-2/3 of their entire yearly traffic?!

moreover, i think the school does this 2-3 times/year. which easily adds up to the stated 200, just from us alone!

what am i misreading here? i figured they got 10 or 20 landings a DAY, not in a whole month! 209.172.23.70 (talk) 07:50, 18 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

how rare?[edit]

i was told this was one of *2* beach runways in the entire US (or the lower 48 at least?). so where is the other?

should be mentioned in the article. especially since it says "the only one in WA"...making it sound like maybe every state's got one!

moreover, some article googling up calls it the "last" such airport. so i'm not even sure about that other one now. has it closed down in recent years? 209.172.23.70 (talk) 08:00, 18 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
