Likewise a humble Brit, and it seems our edits overlapped. If it's anything like UK law then law-suit is a popular term referring really to the overall "action" at court. A "complaint" is effectively another term for the claim (or "action") itself, albeit one that infers more of the substance of the claim. "Declarative" and "Injuctive" relief are adjectives describing the forms of "relief" or remedy to the complaint that are being requested - i.e "declarative" - seeking a declaration of something, and "injunctive", seeking an order from the court stopping something from happening.
