First paragraph tagged as confusing[edit]

I can't follow the lineage after Convair became a division of General Dynamics (GD). The opening paragraph refers to the Convair division as a single entity, then presents three different dispositions, 1) sold to McDonnell Douglas, 2) a facility sold to Lockheed, and 3) shut down by GD. If it was sold off by GD, how could GD shut it down two years later??? 22:57, 24 April 2007 (UTC)

The Box for Convair and General Dynamics aircraft[edit]

The Box for Convair and General Dynamics aircraft needs to have added to it a line for purely experimental aircraft, because that is what American aircraft with desigations that start with "X" are: such as the X-1, X-2, X-5, X-6, X-11, X-15, X-20, XB-70, and so forth. Convair also made experimental aircraft that just had "code names" and no alphanumerical designation. Those could be placed in this line, too.
