Infobox listings...[edit]

Hi @Johnbod: These are pretty useful links (as I'm sure you're aware) for a concise reference on buildings. Therefore, this template was created to have them on historic sites in their infobox for quick and clear access. Considering that Grade II* & Grade I buildings are considered notable (regardless of other reasons for notability on this article on which point, to be honest, I am not well versed in other notability concepts), it would make sense to contain the coach house and stables here alongside the main house. The park is also important and, as you will be aware, Grade anything parks & gardens are much higher calibre than grade anything buildings.

The article could do with fleshing out, but that doesn't warrant removing the scope of the listings imho. Plus, the article was marked as needing an infobox, and all over Wikipedia I have been adding them in this style (see Burghley, Hengrave, Chatsworth, Adlington, etc.), and so it makes sense for it to remain somewhat uniform on that front.

I had some other reasons but I only just woke up and so not at full functioning yet. :)

Yes, and I and others have been reverting them. See Talk:Doddington_Hall,_Lincolnshire#Infobox. They are just too long; the info should all be in the text anyway. Johnbod (talk) 13:49, 12 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
