Smithy[edit]

Michael. Are you sure that your use of the word "analysis" isn't a euphemism for anything even mildly critical of Smithy?. I have asked you before to think very hard about this kind of thing. Please understand that the guy launched a race war that killed and maimed tens of thousands of people. That race war involved launching biological attacks on helpless civilians. Believe me, Smithy was no hero. Ignore what you read in Wilbur Smith novels. Bob BScar23625 15:16, 31 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I am not here to be an apologist for the Smith regime. I've removed these little tidbits before where the article suddenly seems to pause and your commentary slips in for a moment. It's certainly not about Smith / Rhodesia, its about unrequired (and biased) commentary and analysis. michael talk 15:27, 31 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Michael. There are parallels between the careers of Smithy and Sadaam Hussein. Do you go through articles on the Middle East and remove “biased” commentary on Sadaam Hussein?. Bob BScar23625 16:10, 31 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Cleanup needed[edit]

This article requires cleanup: material on white politics in general should be moved to Whites_in_Zimbabwe#The_involvement_of_whites_in_Zimbabwean_politics and this article should refer to the CAZ partly only. --Babakathy 16:40, 6 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I completely agree with you. We will need to cleanup that part of the article first however. —Preceding unsigned comment added by HandGrenadePins (talkcontribs) 12:35, 18 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
