Request[edit]

I would like to see more info on cases where conquest leads to the conquered majority fully adopting the language and customs of the conquering minority, like what happened in countries like England, Hungary, and Turkey.--Beneficii (talk) 04:29, 11 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

– I was surprised this wasn't the WP:BROADCONCEPT primary topic. The concept of conquest should probably take primacy over other works of media called "conquest" or historical conquests that contain the term. ZXCVBNM (TALK) 21:09, 30 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Largest conquest since 1945[edit]

In 2022, Russia performed the “biggest land grab since World War II.”[1]

This was reverted because the source says largest in Europe.

Is the source right? Was there a larger conquest on other continents since 1945?--Maxaxa (talk) 11:03, 7 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Tibet, Western Sahara, Hyderabad, maybe? Annexation would probably be more accurate than simply conquest anyway. Mellk (talk) 11:39, 7 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
That is right, I am wrong. We wait when Russia or any country beats these records. Maxaxa (talk) 18:31, 24 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
