Merge with protein dynamics? Molecular biologists tend to talk about macromolecular movements as conformation changes, but structural bio people(biophysical aspects) discuss protein dynamics, in an effort to capture the nonlinear nature of the protein while making no assumption about it's stochasticity(randomness). In scientific literature the term "conformational changes" is relegated to undergrad bio text books, while more intensive overviews of the subject discuss dynamics. Wikipedia needn't be 1950's.

Depending on what field you're coming from, you may not need to understand dynamics in order to understand that structures change under certain conditions. Simpler models may suffice. In the computational biology literature, for example, "conformational change" is often discussed. Djmuffins (talk) 17:05, 8 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
