is it possible to have diferent result of CPT and lab test?? why? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 219.95.90.47 (talkcontribs) 23:32, 7 June 2007

Because the CPT is measuring something different than lab tests do, and under different conditions. Correlations between CPT results and lab test results have been developed, but are only correlations, not identities. Αργυριου (talk) 16:19, 8 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Yes it is very possible to get differening results from CPTs and lab tests. Firstly there may be errors in gatheing the results from either or both the CPT and the lab tests. Secondly it will depend on what you are comparing. If you are comparing a derived paramter and a lab test results, care must be taken that the derived parameter was calculated for the soils that it was orginally derived for.--BigDazza77 (talk) 00:43, 25 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
