Company or corporation[edit]

In all IBM documentation I have seen, it is the CTR Company, not the CTR Corporation. Is this something that should be changed?

Of course! How funny to have worked on getting details right all these years and yet the name was wrong! Someone logged on will have to move the article to the correct name. Computing Scale Corporation was also changed to ... Company (the stock prospectus shows it as Computing Scale Company of American). 69.106.229.36 (talk) 07:36, 25 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Defunct or renamed[edit]

Is defunct really the same as renamed? Defunct gives the idea of dead, nonexistent, failed - when that isn't really the case. Maybe the box should say "renamed"? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.58.65.75 (talk) 03:45, 26 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Merge to History of IBM[edit]

Should this page merge to History of IBM? Comment here, please. D O N D E groovily Talk to me 13:18, 9 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

There is a merge template that states "It has been suggested that this article or section be merged into History of IBM. (Discuss) Proposed since May 2011." There is a similar template over on the History of IBM article. There has been little or no real discussions of the reasons for the proposed merger, the pros and cons, or statements of support for and against on either talk page. Since this has been unresolved for just about a year, I propose that we abandon the proposed merge and remove the merge templates from both articles. I'll wait a few days and if there is no objection, I'll go ahead and remove the templates. -Jeff Ogden (W163) (talk) 01:52, 27 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Done - With no responses to the above or a similar request over on Talk:History of IBM, I've gone ahead and deleted the merge templates from both articles. -Jeff Ogden (W163) (talk) 04:36, 2 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
