Only John Hancock and Charles Thomson signed the Declaration of Independence on 7/4/1776[edit]

I added... A strong argument can be made that John Hancock was the only representative of Congress that signed the fair copy of the Declaration on 7/4 with Secretary of Congress Charles Thomson attesting it, thus explaining why these two names appear on the bottom of the 200 Dunlap broadsides. 2601:589:4705:C7C0:1C96:2508:525A:2F69 (talk) 16:43, 31 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Sentence fragment[edit]

"Just one signature as attested by Secretary Charles Thomson." Maybe "as" is supposed to be "was"? It's hard to tell. M-1 (talk) 20:24, 13 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

If someone can't, or won't explain the above questioned sentence, Just one signature as attested by Secretary Charles Thomson., I am going to remove it. The sentence does not make sense. It must be part of another sentence so certainly fragmented, and is out of context, as it makes no sense at all. It is somewhat amazing this has not been addressed before now. Concerning The Committee[edit]

    Stating that Benjamin Franklin was "one of the most famous founding fathers" seems superfluous.
    Stating that Roger Sherman was the "only person to sign all four documents.." is immediately stated in 
      the link to Roger Sherman and therefore seems unnecessary to put here. It closely paraphrases as
