Spoilers?[edit]

Deleted that section while not logged it. It's pretty pointless.Dskzero (talk) 03:50, 21 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Title of the page[edit]

The EA announcement calls it "Command & Conquer Red Alert 3: Uprising" so we'll stick with that. Note that there is no colon after Command & Conquer even though there was for "Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3." Also, they're not electing to call it "Command & Conquer: Uprising" as they did with "Command & Conquer: Yuri's Revenge" (the RA 2 expansion pack). If EA shifts in the future, then we'll change the name for for now, that's what we should stick with. I've already made redirects at Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3: Uprising (with colon) and Command & Conquer: Uprising. -Thunderforge (talk) 00:16, 11 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Well, when it comes to how EA refer to the game they are surprisingly inconsistent. Sometimes they use colon, sometimes they don't. For the sake of readers, Wikipedia should stay consistent and use the same format for all articles, within the same franchise at least. --MrStalker (talk) 16:23, 11 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Console Versions[edit]

Any word on why EA aren't making a console version? It seems unlikely that they'd choose to simply cut out a lot of their market, especially given their previous whining at pirates on the PC. Frankly, I'd have expected them to make a console version but no PC version if they really wanted to annoy C&C fans. --Thejadefalcon (talk) 15:24, 5 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

RTS games don't tend to sell well on consoles, especially single player only ones. Davez621 (talk) 03:27, 9 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Really? I thought part of the idea of releasing RA3 for Xbox was due prove that they could be done on consoles. Halo Wars has sold well too, hasn't it? --Thejadefalcon (talk) 15:01, 10 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

How to edit the info box at the right hand side?[edit]

I can't for the life of me figure out how to edit that info box. I wanted to change the distribution method from digital only, as it WILL be released on DVD-ROM as well in other countries, just not in the US. Davez621 (talk) 03:27, 9 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Just checked. I think you can do it just by clicking 'edit this page' at the top. The first section thing I encountered looked like the info box stuff. --Thejadefalcon (talk) 15:03, 10 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Seems I was wrong about that. I cannot find any DVD-ROM product available.Davez621 (talk) 16:07, 16 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Release Date[edit]

The release date is mentioned as March 2009 here and in the main RA3 article - but now it is April. Is it late, or already released? If late, what is the new date? --Robinson weijman (talk) 21:07, 4 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

It was released on March 12, 2009 as it says in the article. If the article still refers to it as something in the future, feel free to change it. Regards SoWhy 21:20, 4 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
You are right - I did not see it on the dialog box. And it is Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3 article that still refers to the expansion pack in the future - I'll change it there. --Robinson weijman (talk) 06:59, 5 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Settings[edit]

Hi, I added this page to all of the categories: "Category:Video games set in [country x]", for all locations where missions take place. This includes Antarctica, as a mission takes place in the Sigma Islands, and the United States, as there is a mission in Guam. I did not include content that appears in the original Red Alert 3 - only unique settings. If you have any scruples, please message/discuss.

Edit summary for revision 482186996[edit]

Hi.

I could not fit everything I did in the edit summary of revision 482186996, so here is the edit details:

  1. Fixed wording: although all three campaigns assume that the Allied are victorious, Tatsu only attempts a coup de tat in th Allied campaign. Tatsu does not appear in the Soviet campaign and does not conspire in the Empire's campaign.
  2. Fixed wording: I seriously did not see the Allied nations trying to resolve the conflict and restore peace. In fact, they simply ignored the Soviets.
  3. Removed assertion of "Heaven on Earth": I could not find it in the game. If you wish to restore it, please mind WP:BURDEN.
  4. Eliminated wordiness in Yuriko campaign description
