Name

The Collared Peccary's scientific name is Pecari Tajacu, not Tayassu Tajacu —Preceding unsigned comment added by 189.70.83.2 (talk) 01:10, 24 October 2007 (UTC)

Dicotyles tajacu

Just curious, but I can quickly find a number of references that refer to this animal as Dicotyles tajacu, although always in a secondary context (i.e., they are not formal statements about the taxonomy of the animal, but just passing mentions in other kinds of documents). Is that a superseded classification? Is the generic name disputed? TCSaint (talk) 18:53, 16 November 2012 (UTC)

Diet

The information about the diet is very informative, but I think a dental formula would help to understand not only anatomy, but how this diet is processed and perhaps why, according to evolution, the Collared peccary limits itself to this range of food items.Tmjacks2 (talk) 04:48, 11 December 2014 (UTC)

Suggestions

The improvements are very good, specially the expansion of the description section. It would be good to add some information about their reproduction, lifespan, or economic value.Vv dng (talk) 06:14, 11 December 2014 (UTC)
