A very enjoyable article, but I wonder if it strays off the neutral tone urged upon contributors? 45ossington 11:26, 16 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Lack of Sources[edit]

Hardly any sources for this article, even for contentious statements like "Cole's strong streak of shrewdness and worldly wisdom was rarely deployed to the benefit of the College" or "Cole would perhaps have better suited the early Hanoverians, many of whose tastes he shared".

Also, a lot of the text of this article seems to have been copied from this obituary Chuntuk (talk) 10:49, 3 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Escutcheon[edit]

The correct version of the escutcheon, with no bulls missing, appears to be the one at https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/9/92/Arms_of_Sir_Colin_Cole.svg Ehrenkater (talk) 18:44, 16 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
