My apologies, i meant to remove that after reading further through. What was the situation during the rest of the Cold War 1947-1991?GraemeLeggett (talk) 11:32, 21 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The data here seems not very reliable[edit]

Example: "France - 8 tank divisions". - - ? What, please ? Sources not given, criteria mysterious, and that particular statement is bare nonsense. It can be supposed that more others are hollow, too. France never had "8 tank divisions". Claims like that make the entire article seem very unreliable. --Oenie (talk) 15:16, 12 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

RE The data here seems not very reliable[edit]

Hi Oenie, thanks for contributing, this article was in an even iffier state which is what attracted me to it! I'm a wikinovice so no doubt have done some things wrong. Not sure if the '8 tank divisions' was there before, but in the source I have 'Armies of the World' 1981, 8 Armoured Divs are given for France. Hope you can correct any howlers!

Czechslovak divisions[edit]

As i'm aware in the early '80 the CSSR had 5 Tank divisions plus one to mobilize, and 5 MRD plus two to mobilize, however for the others Warsaw pact countries mobilization unit are not included so is more homogeneus not include it, sorry for my english — Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.181.229.9 (talk) 13:13, 9 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
