Talk:Cognitive infocommunications

Content of at least one revision of the associated article was derived in whole or part from non-free copyrighted material on the website http://coginfocom.hu/. Article title concerns[edit]

Thanks for the article on CogInfoCom. I want to talk about the title of the article. I guess it is common practice in Wikipedia to separate the written out name from the abbreviated name. The main article is usually the written out name (with the correct upper and lower case spelling and punctuation). The abbreviated title is a redirect to the main article.

I give two examples:

The article about the well known FBI has the title Federal Bureau of Investigation (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Federal_Bureau_of_Investigation). FBI (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FBI) is a redirect to the above article.

The same holds for the UML: The article is named Unified Modeling Language (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unified_Modeling_Language), while UML (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UML) is a redirect to it.

So I would suggest to name the article about CogInfoCom “Cognitive Infocommmunications” and to create a redirect for CogInfoCom.

My second concern about the article name is that you write infocommunications always as one word without dash in the article body. Only in the title, you use Info-Communications. I know there is no common spelling of this out there. But within this single Wikipedia article, you should be consistent. For this reason I suggest the title “Cognitive Infocommmunications”. (This is not in conflict to the upper and lower case spelling of the abbreviation CogInfoCom.)

The use of the alternative/shortened name in the article name is definitely a problem. I was about to fix it, but then I looked here on the talk-page and saw the concern about hyphenation too. The cited references appear to include both styles. But also also, it does not appear to be a proper noun, so per WP:TITLE should the words other than "Cognitive" be capitalized? Certainly could keep "CogInfoCom" capitalized that way if that's the way the shortened form is known, but we don't usually capitalize article-titles solely to match an acronym. Contested deletion[edit]

This page should not be speedy deleted as an unambiguous copyright infringement, because the page which contains similar content ( http://coginfocom.hu ):

1. Was also created by myself 2. Contains no copyrighted material (in fact, I give permission to anyone to access it and use it -> it is public material) 3. It contains a concise presentation of a scientific field -> there is value in presenting it on Wikipedia. 4. The page which is deemed by Wikipedia to be plagiarised ( http://coginfocom.hu ) will be referenced on the wikipedia page (I will get this done as soon as possible)

I kindly ask the administrators NOT to delete the content. If there is anything I should or can do to resolve this issue, please let me know what I can do.
