Mergefrom: Coccidiosis[edit]

  • Support - Having the disease caused seperate from the causative agent seems pointless. I support the mergefrom Coccidiosis. Thor Malmjursson 13:44, 8 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support - Makes sense to me. --Joelmills 19:30, 17 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

==Yeah, except that every other organism that this page links to has a page for both the organism and the disease. I left it like this, because there's not a page worth of information, but still. TychaBrahe (talk) 17:23, 28 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

garbled text[edit]

Taxonomy - "comprises coccidia of a variety of coccidia many of form cysts" does not make sense. 69.72.92.122 (talk) 06:50, 16 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Coccoidea in Hatnote[edit]

The term Coccoidea also causes confusion. Suggesting the {{Hatnote}} include superfamily Coccoidea for scale insects.

Do not confuse Coccidia (a subclass of protists) with Coccidioides (a genus of fungi), nor coccidiosis with coccidioidomycosis, nor superfamily Coccoidea for scale insects

The template {{distinguish}} might be a better fit. I welcome input on the best way to word this change. Thank you. - DutchTreat (talk) 20:06, 4 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
