Corot-exo-1b or Corot-Exo-1b?[edit]

This is a minor issue, but still: The ESA news release clearly designated this planet as Corot-Exo-1b, not Corot-exo-1b. Should we not follow that? Awolf002 11:27, 6 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. The BBC report that was the original reference had Corot-exo-1b. But the press statement is the definitive source. There are also likely to be a lot more, dozens or hundreds. I'd assume they'll go on using the same designation. --GwydionM 13:21, 6 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I changed the text to use Exo instead of exo. Should we also rename the article, itself? I think we could request a move to get input by the community. Awolf002 11:47, 7 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Logical to move. Maybe you should move it on the 10th, if no one objects first. --GwydionM 12:14, 7 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
The Extrasolar Planets Encyclopaedia uses the form CoRoT-Exo-1 b[1] and the original press release Corot-Exo-1b[2]. I think the press release should be considered more authoritative. When the discovery paper someday comes out, we should stick on the form used in it. — JyriL talk 19:03, 7 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
