Reception Section[edit]

Please refrain from adding a reception section as such due to its recent release and no doubt varying degrees of feeback, both negative and positive, so I'd wait until November to get a better picture of overall reception. Stabby Joe 01:03, 24 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Lichthammer[edit]

Ok, this must be the most marginal and tangential piece of trivia to this article, but somehow I can't get to rest about it. Though it is correct that "Lichthammer" would be "Hammer of Light" in german, names of the form "(X)hammer" are quite frequent in Austro-Bavarian speaking regions but have no connotation to Hammers at all. Moreover they stem from the suffix "-ham" for naming places, combined with the suffix "-er" for personal agents (http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/-er) and having the m redoubled. Thus "Lichthammer" would be the name of a family stemming from "Lichtham", though no such place seems to exist or have existed. But nonetheless a quite fitting choice of names here. Thanks for your time. -- 84.115.170.59 (talk) 19:29, 10 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Steam[edit]

The game is available on Steam. Is that worth anything? --CCFreak2K 02:59, 24 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Special Edition[edit]

Was there one released for this game in North America? EBGames' website seems to think so, but no info about it really, and nobody else selling it. Deusfaux 07:40, 25 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yes and a "Limited Edition" in Europe. Stabby Joe 18:58, 25 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Time Slices[edit]

Why is this description kept? "Al-Khali, Present day - a seemingly regular Middle Eastern modern city." If you play the game, it is clearly not a modern city. It is ancient ruins with a Jericho outpost or two. 65.202.21.253 12:15, 16 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Another candidate for most marginal and tangential piece of trivia (cf. Lichthammer), is that Al-Khali in Arabic means "The empty".

Plot[edit]

The plot section needs expansion. If you have the time, please contribute. ResurgamII (talk) 16:54, 17 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Done,mate ;) Sloba (talk) 02:21, 15 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Hmm, who deleted most of the plot section & why? --Sloba (talk) 23:55, 29 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I imagine because it was far too long, plot summaries need to be kept concise - encyclopedic articles focus on their reception and impact, not a blow by blow description of the plot. See WP:PLOT. Rehevkor 00:40, 30 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

???[edit]

WTF??Before Hitler and Micheal jackson???is that rly part of article or vandalism? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.15.201.250 (talk) 20:37, 21 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sequel?[edit]

Is this real? Or not? Or should we keep it ambigious?--86.186.71.18 (talk) 13:58, 25 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

There is no source anywhere in that section, so I would support removal of the entire section. Did Clive Barker say there would be a sequel? I can't be sure without a source. Larrythefunkyferret (talk) 03:03, 26 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

SPOILERS?![edit]

is it really necessary to have DEATH spoilers in the character descriptions? in any event: thanks! :/ — Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.199.78.192 (talk) 15:23, 21 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Strictly speaking, no. The characters section is meant to briefly develop the characters. If their death helps to understand the character, then yes, that should be included. Otherwise, it's not necessary.Larrythefunkyferret (talk) 01:40, 22 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Please Review Language and add Citations[edit]

Can someone who knows what's what please review the language and add citations to this article? This request is triggered by use of the word "eponymous" in the Gameplay section (as at 21/4/12). Seeing as the game is called "Clive Barker's Jericho", why is the game's 7-man team "eponymous"? "Eponymous" isn't a commonly understood word, and it is not clear from context what it means: (i) does the 7-man team all fall down a lot, or are they each-and-all called Clive Barker?; (ii) is there a bit of game backstory that a new reader (me) doesn't know?; (iii) something else? There aren't appropriate references to check against either. Thx. Smittee (talk) 06:47, 21 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Missing Information and Fixes[edit]

This article is missing important information on the game's development which needs to be added to the article. Information on the development of the game is important and needs info on how Clive Barker came up with the idea for the game and how it developed from there. There is also several sections that are missing important citations for its information, the main concern being the article's gameplay section which is completely unreferenced and needs to have citations added to it. The article's lead section is also an issue as it is way to short and does not summarize the article's key points. All of these additions and changes need to occur in order for this article to meet Wikipiedia's standards of a well developed and properly sourced article.--Paleface Jack (talk) 16:01, 19 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
