Since Clinical Pastoral Education is the title of an official academic program, and not just an academic concept, shouldn't the article reflect this through full capitalization? - Vandy —Preceding undated comment added 02:56, 16 December 2005.

Should we also include/refer to Pastoral Cunselling Education, which is the other side of the coin from CPE and closely linked with it, especially through the CPE units CAPPE offers? Mgriffin 22:32, 29 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

If the page's notablity is in question, perhaps it could be turned into a section on the chaplaincy page. As someone who has graduate from CPE, I think the page could be preserved if sections were added about learning methods, the different accrediting agencies, and the goals and purposes. A possible resource is the Association for Clinical Pastoral Education website http://www.apce.org. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 168.38.111.142 (talk) 20:34, 12 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The ISSN, volume, and issue are not specified in the PDF of Stokoe's article. That information is from the following sources

  • ISSN: "Canadian Health Sciences Periodicals N-P". Bibliography of Canadian health sciences periodicals 1826 - 1980. See Nova Scotia Medical Bulletin. {{cite web}}: |first= missing |last= (help); External link in |authorlink= (help); Unknown parameter |Last= ignored (|last= suggested) (help)
  • Volume and Issue: "Nova Scotia Medical Bulletin (Journal) Index v. 1 (1922) - v. 72 (1993)". Kellogg Library Digital Collections. Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada: Dalhousie University.Shelley V. Adams 17:08, 20 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I am no expert in CPE or the church, but that just makes me suitable to make the following comment since most readers will be like me. The introduction of the article on CPE is confusing to me because it seems to be defining CPE as education in pastoral care and not in clinical pastoral care specifically. It says, "Clinical pastoral education (CPE) is education to teach pastoral care to clergy and others." The longer description that follows, plus the title "CPE" itself, suggest that CPE is about working (i.e., providing pastoral care) in a medical (hospital, etc.) context. If that is the case, then shouldn't the opening definition say that? Jmarks13 (talk) 18:43, 9 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
