Facts about the school district & the Concordia Seminary[edit]

I'm not about to get into some kind of edit war, so I'll begrudgingly leave it there, but why is there the need to repeat the "county seat" thing? Futhermore, the policy to cite your sources holds true here, as well as all of Wikipedia. If the school district is highly rated, just note by what ranking. If the high real estate is because of it, cite the study, or, and it's frowned upon, say "could be" instead of "is". The Seminary thing is on the other page, but it's not true there, either! I know you've got Clayton pride, but let's get an article going, not an ad. Put in a section about education! Link to the schools or the district!

I see that Luther Seminary is the largest seminary of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, is that not the same thing? Maybe not. The Concordia web site doesn't say it is the largest or biggest. In fact, one page says, "The 2001-2002 academic year began with a total program enrollment of 612 students, again making Concordia Seminary one of the 25 largest seminaries in the United States"[1] So at least say "one of the largest", even though it's no longer that notable, and don't put it at the top, make a section with a list of things in Clayton, and just link there.

Hopefully you understand where I'm coming from and not attacking you at all, personally. —Wikibarista 01:22, 5 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Concordia Seminary is a part of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod, and not the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. The Concordia statement that it is one of the 25 largest seminaries in the United States probably refers to its ranking among all Christian groups that have seminaries, not just Lutherans or just this Synod. 612 students is quite a large number for any seminary in the U.S. --Marcusscotus1 15:42, 5 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
According to their documents, it is not the largest Lutheran Seminary. "Concordia Seminary remains one of the largest Lutheran seminaries and one of the top 25 largest…" All I ask is for some proof, not for others to refute a single point I may bring up. —Wikibarista 17:50, 5 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
For what it's worth, Concordia Seminary is the larger of the two seminaries of the LCMS. The other one is Concordia Theological Seminary in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Lutherans are evidently not creative with names (all ten universities/colleges of the LCMS are called Concordia). -- RazorChicken 20:12, 31 March 2006 (UTC)
