History[edit]

The history section could do with a total rewrite, I do not like that wording one bit. Basically, Claydon was on the Buckinghamshire Railway Bletchley-Oxford line, which it seems we are calling the "Varsity Line". The GC main line crossed the Varsity line with no connection, until a south-to-east curve was laid in during World War II. The junction for that on the Varsity Line is "Claydon L & NE Junction", situated just west of Claydon station. This curve is used by "binliner" trains. --Redrose64 (talk) 10:08, 21 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Signal box site transferred to HS2[edit]

It is probably too trivial a detail for the article but in case anyone is interested? EWR2 Alliance have relocated the signal box and transferred to original site to HS2. See 2:45 to 3:05 of the slide show video at EWR2 Project Newsletter - Autumn 2020. --John Maynard Friedman (talk) 18:12, 31 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
