Favorite players who went on to the NHL: John Gould and Rick Dudley, both of whom played for the Buffalo Sabres in the early/mid 1970s.
As to home arena: They played all of their regular-season home games at Cincinnati Gardens.

"Fans were angered by this, and that is why they would were not very supportive of the new hockey franchise." This is more opinion than fact, the Stingers not being as successful in the postseason as the Swords probably had something to do with it as well. This sentence should probably be changed or deleted.
