Cimmeria[edit]

If Cimmeria is/was part of the Crimea on the northern Black Sea, the connection with the Atlantis legend may not seem so far fetched.

The geologists seem to think that the Black Sea was created at the end of the last Ice Age when a vast inundation broke through the Dardanelles flooding a large area.
