European production[edit]

Is there an expert on French and/or German prewar autogyros about? At the moment in "Production" we only mention the Lioré-et-Olivier LeO C301 and say that 25 were built. That is what the citeable British Civil Aircraft 199-1972 says. However, our "Survivors " list includes a LeO C302 and the not-citable http://maquettesavions.free.fr/index.htm shows photos of LeO C30 and LeO C301, commenting on some differences. The latter site also suggests 50 (LeO C30?) were with L'Armee de l'Air by end 1939. Golden Years, the interwar registry site has some more variants with claimed production numbers: LeO C30 (59 built); LeO C30S (1);LeO C301 (7);LeO C302(2). If these numbers were right the total C.30 production number would be up by 44 to 192.

Then there are the Focke-Wulfs ... TSRL (talk) 10:46, 30 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Notable appearances in media[edit]

or "In popular culture" as it's called here: are we sure these two aircraft are specifically Cierva C.30s? If not, they should not appear here. Refs?TSRL (talk) 20:09, 25 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Autogyro[edit]

The main article is spelled thus, and autogiro redirects to autogyro. Autogiro might be the Spanish spelling. 218.102.81.153 (talk) 23:53, 26 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Good catch. It was changed in 2010 from "autogyro" by an IP user. I've fixed them now. - BilCat (talk) 02:14, 27 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Aircraft derived from the UK Cierva Company designs are properly termed "autogiros" as that was a registered trade name of the company, which is why the Pitcairn-built aircraft were also referred-to in the same way. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 95.150.100.144 (talk) 08:51, 12 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
