Chucky Egg[edit]

Is some mention of the culinary dish 'chucky egg' (egg in a cup) relevant? :-)

Music[edit]

I've just discovered that the music that is played when losing a life in the ZX Spectrum version is a piece often referred to as Romance or Spanish Romance", by an anonymous composer (it's known as the music of Forbidden Games). Can anyone find a reference to this? --StuartBrady (Talk) 01:20, 2 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Perhaps there should be some mention of The Birdie Song, too? --StuartBrady (Talk) 01:36, 2 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Bbc chuckieegg.gif[edit]

Image:Bbc chuckieegg.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Piles of Sand?[edit]

I always thought they were chicken feed. Why would they be sand? Citation needed, etc. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 94.194.48.42 (talk) 12:57, 17 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Turn-based multiplayer video game[edit]

I've removed the following and replaced with a reference to turn-based multiplayer video game. This is because the description (while accurate) isn't unique to Chuckie Egg and is understandable IMO without going into so much detail:

Chuckie Egg has a “hot seat” multi player facility. When a new game is started, the game will ask “how many players?” of which there can be 1-4. The game will then display “get ready, player one”. If more than one player has been selected, once the first player loses their first life, the game will display “get ready, player two”, and so on. If any one player gets onto the high score board, they will be required to enter their name after they have lost their final life. The last player standing will continue until they have lost their final life. The scores and life counters for each player will be displayed throughout the game and the current players score will be highlighted. The multiplayer option might not be available on all platforms.
On single player mode, the caption “get ready, player one” will always appear when the player has lost a life, or “game over, player one” when he has lost his last.

Physics[edit]

Maybe we should remove the myth? See http://frgcb.blogspot.de/2016/01/chuckie-egg-anf-software-1983.html

I have removed the myth. I owned both BBC Micro and Spectrum versions and the physics are basically identical. Equinox 15:28, 25 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
