Order[edit]

When will Christopher Hogwood receive the Order of the British Empire?? It just doesn't seem right that rock stars receive knighthood yet one of the greatest champions of the Early Music movement, the first conductor of the Academy of Ancient Music since the late 18th century, hasn't even receive an Order. 66.171.76.183 06:20, 2 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

According to the page, he has a CBE which is higher in rank to an OBE. So there! Although below a knighthood ... 16:11, 3 April 2007 (UTC)

Haydn Symphony recordings[edit]

Hogwood is known for having recorded around 80 of Haydn's 106 symphonies. Considering it is mentioned he recorded over 200 pieces, since Haydn's recordings (not mentioning participation as organ player in Masses recordings too...) would then represent more than a third of his work, shouldn't that deserve a mention as one of his major contribution? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.116.43.95 (talk) 21:52, 12 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

This is not 2014, but 1982! -- 92.206.106.236 (talk) 16:25, 2 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

It's almost certainly a copyvio, with the final credits (and date) carefully removed. So I have removed it. Thanks. Martinevans123 (talk) 16:34, 2 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
p.s. the other four YT links are probably also copyvios, but it's less clear. Perhaps someone else can make a decision on those. Martinevans123 (talk) 16:41, 2 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
