English summary: Among the projects of radical pietism the universal songbook of Christoph Schutz is widely unknown. The idea of an encyclopedic collection of songs, which should include the songs of all churches of all times, distinguishes it from other hymnological projects. Further to the analysis of the songbook the book sheds light on the publisher's life and his role in the radical pietistic communication network. German description: Von den Projekten des Radikalpietismus ist das Universalgesangbuch des Christoph Schutz bisher weitgehend unbeachtet geblieben. Unter dem Titel Geistlicher Wurtz= Krauter= und Blumen=Garten erschien zwischen 1738 und 1744 das funfbandige Liedkompendium mit 5000 Liedtexten. Von den zeitgenossischen hymnologischen Projekten hebt es sich durch seinen Umfang und durch die Auswahl der Lieder, insbesondere der Berucksichtigung radikalpietistischer Gesange ab. Die Autorin analysiert Titel, Vorreden und Liedkorpus des Gesangbuchs und zeichnet den Lebensweg Schutz' und seine Einbindung in das radikalpietistische Kommunikationsnetz nach.
