NO, I do not think his winning decision during the 2013 Major League Baseball All-Star Game needs to be noted in his notable achievements/honors. Back many years ago when pitchers would pitch almost the whole game then that could be noted as an honer because they pitched most of the game earning the victory for his team. Sale only pitched two innings and in an actual Major League game a pitcher must pitch at least 5 innings to be eligible for the win. I feel that it is fine how it is now that their is a mention on the page that he was the winning pitcher during the game but it doesn't need to highlighted as a major honor. A good question though. This statement is incorrect: "He is one of five players in MLB history to play the same year he was drafted.[10]" The citation does not support the sentence at all, plus Wikipedia has a page about MLB players that went straight into the pro league without having played in the minors. Throwing first and last pitch of a World Series[edit]

Sale threw the first and last pitches of the 2018 World Series, which I assume must be a very rare event. He also struck out the first and last batters of the series: Brian Dozier struck out looking in the top of the 1st to begin Game 1 and Manny Machado struck out swinging in the bottom of the 9th to end Game 5.
