to do[edit]

  • I. from a previous entry:

Despite a large collaborative and touring resume, Chris is known mostly for his commercial mix releases. The most well prominent of these are his releases on John Digweed's Bedrock label and the Balance series.

There is some decent substance here, but the first sentance almost contradicts the rest of the statement. It also fails to take into account that the "Delerium" remix was a huge part of his international success.

This should be re-written

  • When writing biographical articles, please use the subject's last name not his first (eg. instead of "Chris started Fade Records" write "Fortier started Fade Records"). Wikipedia articles in general should be written in a fairly formal tone like that. Also, try to avoid vague pop-music-journalist stuff like "solidified Chris and Neil’s respect level as high and put them on the short list of...". Sentences like this generally don't say much and are vague and uninformative. Instead, maybe something like "The demand for Fortier and Kolo as remixers grew after the release of their remix of Delerium" or something - more direct, less flowery, and more informative. If you want any help with anything specific or have any questions, feel free to drop me a message. Wickethewok 23:44, 8 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Lead photo[edit]

  • Imo the current photo is cool, but the sunglasses make it a bit hard to actually tell what he looks like. I think Press shot 3 or 4 would be better. See: http://www.stomp.com.au/press/ChrisFortier/default.html . I have also been in contact with EQ/Stomp (who I believe actually own the rights to the photos) and they ok'd the CC license, so I can upload a new photo to Wikimedia Commons and forward the emails to the licensing dept once we decide on a pic. • that is fine with me. I hope to get a comprehensive discography done for him at some point in time... perhaps "cool" Fortier can be used there.
