Untitled[edit]

Hi there, how should this article be edited to meet criteria? We've tried multiple times, and it still keeps getting deleted (or, in this case, proposed for deletion).

This is an important topic to many people, as tens of thousands of searches are done monthly on "chocolate health", "healthy Chocolate", healthy chocolate ingredients" according to the Google Keyword Tool.

Chocamine is an ingredient in products that are consumed by hundreds of thousands of consumers a month. This article was not created as PR or advertising. There is a patent number, studies to back up the research, names of popular consumer products that include chocamine as an ingredient. We modeled this page on the Wikipedia page for "aspartame". Although not yet as well known or popular as aspartame, chocamine is in the same category, as an ingredient in consumer products.

Why is this page being considered advertising, and what changes need to be made to appease the editors? I made some changes today, but I don't believe they are substantive enough to have the article reclassified.

We're not looking to run afoul of the guidelines... Chocamine is simply an important ingredient in many popular health products about which there is some confusion...

please help, I'm a new editor, and I'm sure we can make this right with some more specific guidance.

thanks! Sleepexpert1 (talk) 18:23, 30 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I removed the proposed deletion tag, as I do not see this page as advertising. Please, if you have a concern about this page, and wish to tag it again, please also include specific feedback of portions or sections that should be modified. I'd like to improve the page in any way needed so that everybody feels comfortable with its continued inclusion. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sleepexpert1 (talkcontribs) 21:09, 3 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I see two reasons why the page was tagged advertising. First, it does read like a promotion for the product, in terms of the tone of the text. All the text is positive; no criticisms are mentioned. The second reason is that because of the tone of the text, it feels like it was copied-and-pasted from a website. I've identified one passage in the History section that was copied from http://www.rfiingredients.com/chocamine.asp. I'm looking through the article further to see if it's the only one, or if we have a copyright infringement situation in this article. —C.Fred (talk) 21:11, 3 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

thank you so much for the good feedback. I'm working to fix. I'm brand new at this, and don't technically know how to make certain edits. I wanted to add 2 references. The first was for the health benefits of chocolate (ref #1 from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chocolate)...the 2nd was for the caffeine content of chocamine plus compared to a 12-ounce can of soda (taken from http://www.cspinet.org/new/cafchart.htm).

can you please help? Thanks for your assistance...I'll get the hang of this eventually. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sleepexpert1 (talkcontribs) 02:16, 6 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

how would I include a link to this article from the health section of the entry for chocolate in wikipedia? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sleepexpert1 (talkcontribs) 19:47, 8 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
