Just going to leave a link to an NYT article about shady past of ChinaCast here: https://dealbook.nytimes.com/2012/04/24/fraud-heightens-jeopardy-of-investing-in-chinese-companies/ 08:39, 7 August 2021 (UTC)~

Wikipedia:Reliable sources[edit]

Good afternoon. Wikipedia articles should be based on reliable, published sources. Wikipedia:Reliable sources The lack of citation of any sources within the article does not prove reliability, and it is hoped that source information can be added.Zhuo1221 (talk) 04:30, 8 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia:Notability[edit]

The article says ChinaCast Education Corporation is the leading for-profit provider of post-secondary education and e-learning services in the People's Republic of China. However, no information can be found on Chinese search engines, and in fact, the media does not continue to focus on this for-profit learning organisation, which is in line with Wikipedia:Notability.Zhuo1221 (talk) 04:43, 8 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Major rework[edit]

I rewrote most of the article body to remove the promotional tone and mention the myriad of legal issues the company has/had. Input is welcome. Cortador (talk) 10:42, 9 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I took my own shot at it, collapsing the legal sections in to a kind of downfall subheading. Have a look if you want. The NYT article, and some other articles, are from reliable sources but quote the allegations in a class action lawsuit. I'm finding later, otherwise reliable sources regurgitating allegations from the lawsuit. Maybe there's support for pieces of it elsewhere so I'm leaving it alone.
