Assessment, stub class for now[edit]

I assessed this as a mid-importance article for the Wikiproject Musical Instruments, as a recognizable basic percussion instrument. I rated it a stub because it is the bare-beginning of an article. It really needs better refs. If you improve it and want reassessment or need help or have questions, please drop me a line.Jacqke (talk) 02:34, 10 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Metallophone?[edit]

@Andrewa: What is the difference between this and the Metallophone. My book Musical Instruments of the World seemed to indicate they were the same, though it mentions that "chime bars" might be used in schools. Is it then a marketing thing?Jacqke (talk) 02:40, 10 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Page name[edit]

I'll confess that resonator bar chime is not a common term, they are just called bar chimes, but that name and bar chime are both already taken. If someone wants to propose a move, either to one of those names (both currently redirects, to different articles) or something else that's defensible, I'll probably support it. Moved to chime bar, that seems the common name. Much better. Andrewa (talk) 22:33, 10 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Images[edit]

We need an image of a mark tree, then we can put it and the tubular bell image into a gallery at the bottom of the see also section, which would be far better layoutwise. Andrewa (talk) 22:33, 10 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Unreliable tag challenged[edit]

This article was tagged with an unreliable tag in November 2012 with no discussion here but the edit summary tag unreliable for commercial links. [1]

There were at the time five references only, all of them commercial, and all of them still work and seem perfectly citeable for the purposes for which they are used in this article, so I intend to remove the tag unless there is some objection in the next little while.
