"Notable children's poets"[edit]

There needs to be some evidence that these people are notable. I have removed three who were redlinks - not notable enough for anyone to have created an article about them. They were also all unsourced BLP content, another good reason to remove the text. One appeared to be possibly autobiographical, WP:COI. PamD 23:01, 12 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Possible plagiarism issues?[edit]

I looked at the encyclopedia.com entry on children's poetry, and well... https://www.encyclopedia.com/children/academic-and-educational-journals/childrens-poetry

It looks like several sentences from the Wiki article are directly taken from there.

Wiki Education assignment: ENGL 273 - Children's Literature[edit]

This article was the subject of a Wiki Education Foundation-supported course assignment, between 13 January 2022 and 14 May 2022. Further details are available on the course page. Student editor(s): Mlb341 (article contribs).

Over the next few weeks, I plan on making a few edits to this article. First, I am going to be improving the importance section with additional sources to bolster the information already present and a few more implications of children’s poetry indicated by experts in various disciplines. I will also update the history section to include some more recent history of children’s poetry and update a bit of the lead section to ensure that it doesn’t include any new information not presented in another section of the article. Lastly, I will add a few more recent, diverse, and international poets to the notable poets section so the article will be more neutral and in line with Wikipedia’s inclusive mission.
