This article really needs work![edit]

This article has a bunch of problems. It is disorganized. Many of its statements are not neutral in point of view. There are many unsourced allegations.

Anyone want to undertake a reorganization and clean it up? I do not have time to do it right now, although I may in the future if no one else takes it on.

I started to clean it up. I've tried to seperate the description of the beach and its history from the seal controversy. I've also removed some of the worst non-neutral statements. The seal section still needs work but its a start. 70.234.229.115 (talk) 01:57, 21 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, that is a good start! I still don't have time but will work on it later - or you can continue your good work. I am bothered by (among other things) the two places where Sea World is blamed for the seals moving in. I don't think that connection is established history - sounds more like local finger-pointing. At the least it needs a reference to support it. Also the high coliform count and its connection to seal feces should be documented, and all the stuff about seals nipping at children or pulling children in should be either removed or sourced. There, I've done most of the reorganization. I'm still not sure about the stuff at the end about seals nipping at people or pulling children into the water. I couldn't find any references supporting those statements but I left them in for now. MelanieN (talk) 11:17, 21 July 2009 (UTC)MelanieN[reply]
OK, I think I've got the warnings into "encyclopedic" form suitable for Wikipedia, and I'm satisfied with the article. Feel free to continue to make changes and improvements - this is Wikipedia after all! We may have gotten this into shape just in the nick of time. There could be a lot of traffic here because of recent legal developments. MelanieN (talk) 16:34, 21 July 2009 (UTC)--MelanieN[reply]
