To my Chicagoan friends[edit]

I have added a bit of material and some sub-headings with inline citations. I probably need to leave it for a little while and let some local talented editors with an on the ground understanding of the event fill in some further detail. I'll come back in a couple of days to see what else I can help with. Now if only I could stumble on some spare cash and come and crash with you guys for those 4 days and visit with the spirit of John Lee Hooker and others!--VS talk 10:08, 3 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • PS This article has been in existence for 3 years - it's the world's biggest free concert of its kind - trust me millions of Blues lovers will appreciate your Boldness in telling us all about it. Cheers from downunder.--VS talk 10:15, 3 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
    • This is a difficult research task. Today, I am at the Carter G. Woodson Regional Library. They have an extensive Afro-American Collection, but no resources on the Chicago Blues Festival. We may end up with a stub as a result of this week's WP:CHICOTW. Once we get the WP:WPChi bot tagging completed we will have a host of stubs to select good research topics from. • Hey that's fine - we tried as hard as we could. I know how difficult it is to find material on these events. They are right out there when they are on but not much goes to print afterwards (I had much the same trouble at Wagga Wagga Jazz Festival the other day). ... Also just to let you all know I have linked the pages of every one of the past performers back to this article in the hope that that will spark other editors. Cheers for now.--VS talk 21:30, 6 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
