Yes , it is commonly missplet as Chapra. If you see official documents. It is mention Chhapra not Chapra. I suggest the name in this article may be changed to Chhapra so that people looking for Chhapra reach this site.

'Chhapra ( commonly mis-spelt Chapra or Chupra ) is head-quarter of Saran Division, which consists three districts, Siwan, Gopalganj and Chhapra (called Saran ) . Chhapra , ( Latitude - 25.47° North and Longitude - 84.47° East ) located in low, fertile Gangetic plain, has relatively cool, dry winters and hot summers with 750 mm. to 1350 mm. of rain annually. It is 70 Km. away from Patna , capital of Bihar and situated near the confluence of rivers, the Ganges and Ghaghara .

Gopalganj was a Sub-Division of Old Saran District . It was made separate district on 2nd October,1973 . District Rural Development Authority was established in 1979-80'. --Skr91 11:56, 4 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Is this spelled Chhapra or Chapra or is sometimes spelled either way? RJFJR 02:47, 4 May 2007 (UTC) Chapra is the most common spelling and is widely accepted. Chhapra though phonetically correct is not in common use. Is asharam and alternative spelling of ashram? The actual spelling is "Chhapra" and not "Chapra", though colloquially people use these spellings interchangeably.If at the change has to be made, it should be Chhapra. This is difficulty with chosing page a title based on an editor's personal assertions of which name is correct, especially when they fail to provide any evidence to back up their claims. The 2011 census atlas, published by the Office of the Registrar General and Census Commissioner, shows the spelling clearly as Chapra. Skinsmoke (talk) 06:55, 20 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Katesar Buzurg[edit]

Katesar village is 20 kilometre away from Chhapra town and comes under Nagra block. Katesar village is birthplace of prominent sufi fakir Makhdoom Saheb, who is worshipped by both Hindus and Muslims.Every year Urs and fair is held on his mazaar during October-November, in which people from entire Bihar comes to participate. Katesar has one School, one Madarsa, Computer and Voctional Training Centre. It has produced MLA Suraj Singh, Shri Punya Deo Ojha,Former Dy Governor of RBI, studied in this village. Orphaned references in Chhapra[edit]

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Chhapra's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.
