Female Vice-Presidential nominee[edit]

This data was in a local Maine paper today, but is from a national column, from KovelsI. It is stated that a Lena Jones Springs was the first woman of a major party ever nominated to the Vice Presidency of the United States, at the 1924 Democratic National Convention. Can anyone comment on this?? --Dumarest 15:14, 28 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Were Charles and William Bryan "the only brothers who have been nominated for President or Vice President by a major political party"?[edit]

Charles Cotesworth Pinckney was nominated for the presidency by the Federalists in 1804 and 1808 (as well as for the Vice Presidency in 1800) and his brother Thomas Pinckney was nominated for the Vice Presidency by the Federalists in 1796. So unless I'm missing something this statement shouldn't apply. Misteri123 (talk) 14:33, 8 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
