Untitled[edit]

This is a one-sided article representing only Ms. McCorkle's point of view, with no discussion of the contrary views that might be held by the US government or by the victims of the McCorkles' financial fraud. NawlinWiki 21:56, 27 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I see no mention of the amount of money that was fleeced from the public. I remember it was in the millions, and I think it was in the tens of millions that they took in (as I recall, they employed a couple of hundred people in their boiler-room operation, in Florida I think it was). Also, as I vaguely recall, they spirited millions of dollars out of the United States into Carribbean bank(s) when they realised the net was closing in, but there is no mention of any of this in the article. Can somebody that knows this stuff put it in? Otherwise, it's pretty one-sided. I mean, if they fleeced tens of millions, then a sentence of 18 years seems about right. Thanks in advance.

Also, as I recall, nobody made any money from the "kits" that they sold, i.e. they took in millions for a system that didn't work, that even the McCorkle's had not made money with. We really need some more fleshing out here about what the details of the scam was.—Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.143.159.186 (talk) 09:29, 17 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Personal information removed[edit]

Under the heading "After release from prison" it states "As of September 2010 she was living (place redacted), and had reverted to using (name redacted). In May 2012, she was working as (occupation and location redacted)." The information I've redacted violates WP's privacy policy. It would allow anyone to locate her and subject her to whatever harassment (or worse) they chose. It is also irrelevant to WP:BLP, as it is completely unrelated to the crime for which she meets WP:N and WP:1E. After a person convicted of a crime has served their sentence, they once again have a reasonable presumption of privacy. I have removed that information as per WP policy.
