Untitled[edit]

I suggest that the Channel River deserves a separate page. Much can be said about the theories concerning this postulated (!) river.--Tom Meijer (talk) 21:21, 21 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Textual amendment[edit]

Currently the Formation section's final paragraph includes the text:

". . . the Strait of Dover is now a 32 km (20 mi) wide gap in the ridge, bared with cliffs of between 15 and 45 m (49 and 148 ft) high . . . ." [My italics]

The term "bared with" makes no sense to this BrE native speaker (and is not hinted at in Ref 1 used to cite the sentence overall). I suspect a typo for "bordered", but various terms including "flanked by", "lined with" or "fringed by" would also make sense. I am going to change the text to "bordered by". If anybody has a better idea, or has an argument why "bared" should be used, feel free to revert or further amend. {The poster fomerly known as 87.81.230.195} 2.122.0.58 (talk) 14:30, 17 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
