Proposal for revision[edit]

I suggest this page needs an introduction, outlining the role, function and organisation of the various security forces, as set out in the constitution and other official sources. This could then be followed by some of the existing material. I could do the intro. but I don't have access to the up-to-date info. or sources to tackle the rest of it.

It would be immensely appreciated, thanks. I also don't have much on the present army, to tell the truth, as the good sources I found regard the Chadian Armed Forces (1960-79) and the Chadian National Armed Forces (1983-90).--Aldux 13:10, 11 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Sources on Chad's equipment are scarce, but I've fount some. Does it still need the update temple ? - Tourbillon A ? 12:26, 2 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Small Arms - Rifle other than FAMAS and AK[edit]

I have just returned from a brief trip to Tchad (Jan 2010) - the guards outside the presidential palace are carrying rifles that look like the Israeli Galil or South African R4/5. Does anyone know what type of rifles these actually are? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.7.118.108 (talk) 21:26, 30 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Image copyright problem with File:Chadian soldiers in Toyota pickup truck.jpg[edit]

The image File:Chadian soldiers in Toyota pickup truck.jpg is used in this article under a claim of fair use, but it does not have an adequate explanation for why it meets the requirements for such images when used here. In particular, for each page the image is used on, it must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for the use in this article.
  • That this article is linked to from the image description page.
