Article notability[edit]

This article appears to relate to a single statement by an otherwise unnotable individual. There is very little of note included: why the statement was/might have been valid; what the actual beliefs of the condemned believers were; how many were executed; why the sultan allowed their execution. It makes more sense to include the information associated with it as part of the article on the sect itself. I propose to redirect this article to a paragraph on the sect itself.--193.62.184.87 (talk) 12:55, 27 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The article does not seem to stand alone. I would agree to a merger.--154.59.142.60 (talk) 12:31, 6 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

If no one objects then I shall redirect this article and incorporate applicable text to the Bektashi article.--CouncilConnect (talk) 17:35, 26 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I do object. This relates to an important incident in the reorientation of the Ottoman Empire under the reign of Mehmed II. Fortunately Wikipedia has grown considerably since the article was created in 2008, and as you can see I have wikified the links to some of the key characters who did not have pages then. This has included creating a page for Fahreddin-i Acemi, who already has a page in both Turkish (tr:Fahreddin-i Acemi) and Azerbijani (az:Molla Fəxrəddin Əcəmi). Time would be better spent improving the article. Leutha (talk) 15:24, 27 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
