Page issues[edit]

This page has substantial issues. It is written like an essay on a related topic. But it does not describe the CPE, nor does it actually discuss the relevant research. (None of the citations seem particularly related to the specific research conducted by the CPE.)

I don't have the time or inclination to spend much time on this, but some pointers:

  • The first paragraph of the article is basically correct ("The Center for Population Economics (or CPE) is a research center at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. The work of the CPE is funded primarily by the U.S.'s National Institute on Aging of the National Institutes of Health."), except that it should be in past tense.
  • The CPE was established by Robert Fogel, and stopped operating at some point after his death in 2013. The last Wayback machine snapshot of their homepage was Jan 16 2014
  • The NBER now hosts at least some of the data they collected.
