Blatant plagiarism[edit]

BoogerD is no longer active and hasn't edited since February. However, this really isn't a case of plagiarism; the text wasn't added with the intention of passing it as original text; the text was added with quotes and was cited properly. This is allowed per WP:COPYQUOTE. Could the text be rewriten in someone's own words to avoid an overly-long quotation? Sure. Thanks. (BoogerD has a ten-year gap in his editing, while we're exchanging BoogerD observations). I cited for WP:COPYVIO, not plagiarism, and made no "accusations". I realise it was cited and in quotes. WP:COPYQUOTE does say "The copied material should not comprise a substantial portion of the work being quoted…" The material here is (but for intro and outro and cast) a straight copy of the entirety of the original. But that's ok? Well... ok then. I'm no expert in this area and I jumped on it because of the serious nature of possible legal jeopardy, and for the same reason I'd have felt a little happier if an admin had been allowed to pick it up per tag.
