Hello, I'm Catawiki's Head of Communications and I would like to suggest the following changes and adds to this page. Current page is outdated and misses a lot of information. Thanks.

New copy under title business model BUSINESS MODEL Every day thousands of objects are submitted on Catawiki to sell. Every object is virtually reviewed by Catawiki’s in-house experts and if the object meets the submission guidelines it will feature in one of Catawiki’s 600 weekly online auctions. Most objects are accompanied by an estimated value, provided by the Catawiki expert, and sellers also have the option to add a reserve price - a minimum price under which the object can’t be sold.

Auctions typically run for 7-10 days and at the end of the auction the object will go to the highest bidder (except if the reserve price has not been met). Buyers on Catawiki also have the option to place an automatic bid, which allows the buyer to set a maximum price they are willing to pay and Catawiki will automatically place bids for you up until that price.

All auctions are supervised by a notary and Catawiki holds the payment to the seller in escrow until after the buyer has received their object.

In return for the services Catawiki provides to both buyers and sellers, it charges a seller fee of 12.5% and a buyer fee of 9% of the final bid value.

Add a new title, growth GROWTH In 2014, Catawiki reported it had 15,000 objects in auction per week. In 2015, Catawiki was named as the fastest growing company in Europe by Deloitte, reporting a phenomenal 45,080% growth in revenue in the past four years. In 2017, the Financial Times placed Catawiki in13th place in its list of the 1000 Europe’s fastest growing companies.

In 2019, Catawiki reported two profitable quarters and in 2020 Catawiki achieved a Gross Merchandising Value (GMV) of €466 million and a positive net profit - marking the first profitable year for the company. It counted buyers and sellers from over 60 markets. In February 2021, Catawiki celebrated the sale of its 10th million object.

Add a new title, leadershio LEADERSHIP In 2016, both founders René and Marco took a step back and gave the management of the company to Ilse Kamps. In 2018, Ravi Vora, a former executive at <Flipkart> - India's largest e-commerce company, was named CEO. Under his management the company now counts over 600 employees. Frederik de Beer, a former investment banker, is CCO and Tyler Myler, a former Google engineer, is CTO.

These suggestions are way too promotional (a "phenomenal" growth?), please see WP:NPOV. They are also in some aspects way too detailed (we are not a how-to guide, e.g. the percentages of the seller and buyer fee are not needed at all). A source like Brickfanatics is not really acceptable either, they are self-declared partners of Catawiki. And this is not a source about a special Catawiki auction, it just mentions them as an aside.
