Untitled[edit]
Since KY has designated the Cascade area of the park as specially protected, it would be appropriate to remove this particular section:
All Money Making Caves are gated but one part of Cascade Cave -that is 2 miles (3.2 km) outside the park boundary - has also 2 large ungated openings. Access to one of them is easy: Behind the old cashier house starts a loop-trail in the box canyon. After a few meters there is a small trail to the left.
Endangered plants may be disturbed by going off trail. In addition, Cascade is a major money maker for the park, which is currently short on funds. Laurel and Horn Hollow are free self-guided tours; why cheat the park of the couple dollars to tour Cascade?
