Headquarters[edit]

The lead says that headquarters are in Copenhagen, the infobox says Berlin. Why? Eddie Nixon (talk) 18:14, 27 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Probably the best lager[edit]

'In some countries the tagline has been adapted to "Probably the best lager in the world".'

The given reference does not contain this information.

Follow-up question: which countries? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 83.101.83.42 (talk) 17:22, 31 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, for example in the UEFA Euro 2016 LED advertising boards in all the stadia maybe for the France´s regulations about beer and alcoholic beverage public advertising campaigns the brand is no show only the tagline and appears the word Probably featuring the typeletter of the brand.Nekko09 (talk) 05:31, 15 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

The original author and agency of the slogan seems to be disputed. Some mention Tony Bodinetz and he claims so himself on his linkedin (https://www.linkedin.com/in/tony-bodinetz-99408381). Unfortunately I can't see anything about his work during the 1970s there. Also he seems to have died in 2015 (http://www.wearebluesoup.com/blog/a-sad-farewell-to-the-best-copywriter-in-the-world and http://www.family-announcements.co.uk/devon/view/3686203/bodinetz). Regarding the agency, most sources say Saatchi & Saatchi, but others suggest KMP, which was bought/merged with Saatchi in the 1980s, possibly explaining the confusion (see https://www.nytimes.com/1981/06/09/business/advertising-british-kmp-partnership-acquired-by-compton.html). On this wikipedia page it was changed to KMP in this edit in 2017 https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Carlsberg_Group&oldid=760008504 173.38.220.34 (talk) 10:17, 22 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Factually wrong changes made to Carlsberg Group page based on Politics[edit]

Hi, This paragraph in the page has been modified recently and is now factually wrong:

“The company employs around 41,000 people, primarily in Western Europe, Russia and Asia. Carlsberg own Russian beer brand Baltika, and have close working relations with Vladimir Putin.[6]”

Carlsberg do not have close working relations with Putin, and the source this statement cites has no mentions of Putin.

In the first sentence, it also now says Carlsberg primarily employs people in Russia, and this should be Eastern Europe. The three regions in which Carlsberg employs people, is Western Europe, Eastern Europe and Asia.

Kindly consider this and please revise these latest changes which are political and not correct. 2A02:AA7:4000:364A:91F3:9D5E:57B2:698F (talk) 11:19, 16 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Suggesting change: Factually wrong info added[edit]

  • specific text to be removed: …and have close working relations with Putin.
  • Reason for the change. This is not correct. The source it cites has no mentions of Putin.
  • Specific text to be edited: “Carlsberg employs 41,000 people in primarily Western Europe, Russia and Asia.” Change to: “Carlsberg employs 41,000 people, primarily in Western Europe, Eastern Europe and Asia.”

Review of the source material makes no reference to Putin at all. Edit in question appears to be vandalism, change accepted. WilsonP NYC (talk) 19:24, 17 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
