Intro[edit]

The intro to this article features the following sentence, "He has written music for more than 100 television programs, but is best known for creating music to accompany films that were originally silent." This indicates that the films Carl Davis composed scores for were originally viewed silently which isn't the case. Publicly exhibited silent films always had some form of musical accompaniment, be it piano on the lower tier, organ, a small group of musicians, or an entire orchestra. They didn't simply play random pieces arranged for the film, a large number of films had original scores. Many of them have become lost, which is where Carl Davis comes in... Borderline infobox issue[edit]

I'm a biographer of musicians, however, I am not as familiar with classical musicians, opera, and to a lesser degree, rap and hip hop music. Generally, the rule is that we use one type of infobox for musicians (the musicians-work-group) but for composers, another infobox is used. When some artists straddle the line between their work as musicians, vs. another role (as one of those composers, or work in film), for example, I'm hesitant to add to the article. --Leahtwosaints (talk) 23:00, 19 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Is this is the Carl Davis who ...[edit]

... appears in the Youtube item "Beatles Night - Prague Proms 2010" ?

I will also go the talk page for "prom". — Preceding unsigned comment added by 128.63.16.47 (talk) 20:23, 4 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
