Capture of Tucson[edit]

I just did some quick edits, I intend to write the entire page tomorrow, I have been meaning to do it for a while now. First of all, I took out the statement that said Tucson was captured twice during the war. Tucson was only captured once by the Union (this article here) When Captain Sherod Hunter entered the town it already had a militia garrison fighting for the CSA. Also when Sherod Hunter arrived in Tucson he had only about 75 men under his command. 21 other Confederates arrived with him though, they were under the command of Colonel James Reily who proceeded to Sonora, Mexico on a diplomatic mission. After Picacho Pass and not recieving reinforcements, Hunter withdrew his company from Tucson several days before the Union takeover. Only ten Tucson militia remained when it was captured, they were commanded by Lt. James H. Tevis. They did not fight and escaped capture.--Az81964444 (talk) 10:19, 15 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
