Awards[edit]

The "Awards" section is needlessly long. We generally do not include every minor local award a subject has received. IMO, we should limit this section to awards that receive coverage independent of the companies involved. Yes, Joe's Bowling Alley thinks it's meaningful that they were named "Potter County Free Shopper's Best 24/7 Bowling With Free Shoe Rentals" in Potter County, PA. Yes, the Free Shopper thinks it's a meaningful award. No one else likely took notice. The polar opposite is, for instance, an Oscar. In addition to the Academy and the recipient, we can cite reliable 3rd party sources showing that yes, other people think this is a meaningful award. - SummerPhD (talk) 17:57, 14 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

With a recent addition, we can now confirm that Capriotti's thinks their awards are significant. Like I said... - SummerPhD (talk) 21:05, 14 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
The section is now tagged as unreferenced. Any awards that do not cite independent reliable sources will be romoved shortly. - SummerPhD (talk) 17:12, 21 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

marketing puffery[edit]

Hello,

I recently removed some material that sounded more like an ad than an NPOV encyclopedia article. I ask my fellow editors to review and act accordingly. Thanks. Mr. Swordfish (talk) 01:42, 2 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
